Buffy Summers är inte som andra tonårstjejer. Tillsammans med vännerna Xander, Willow och mentorn Giles tvingas hon kämpa mot vampyrer, demoner och mörkrets krafter. Det är inte alltid så lätt att balansera sitt ansvar som den utvalda "dräparen" mot livet som tonåring med familj, vänner och förhållanden.
Serien hade premiär 1997 och varje avsnitt är ungefär 43 minuter. Totalt har 144 avsnitt sänts uppdelat på 7 säsonger och serien är skapad av Joss Whedon. Tyvärr har serien lagts ner och det kommer inga nya avsnitt

Angel arrives with an amulet which may be a weapon against the First. The battle-lines are drawn and the gang spends the night preparing for the final confrontation. A confrontation that some may not survive. Armed with an amulet they know nothing about, a scythe which holds the key to the Slayer line, and magicks which they may not be able to control, they prepare to face the assembled armies of the First Evil.
New vampires Spike and Drusilla come to town along with the new slayer, Kendra Young, who was activated as a result of Buffy's brief death in the season one finale. Xander becomes involved with Cordelia, while Willow becomes involved with witchcraft and Daniel "Oz" Osbourne becomes a werewolf after being bitten by a young cousin who just happens to be a werewolf. Buffy and the vampire Angel develop a relationship over the course of the season, but Angel's dark past as the evil and sadistic Angelus threatens to destroy Buffy and the world.
