Efter sin fars död återförenas systrarna Tess och Claire McLeod efter flera år när de ärver den stora bondgården i södra Australien. Tillsammans måste de kämpa för att få allt att fungera. Och vardagslivet är inte enkelt – gården är flera mil från närmaste stad.
