Elliot lever ett dubbelliv; på dagen är han en skicklig datasäkerhetsexpert och på natten förvandlas han till en fruktad hackare. Hans kamp mot korruption drivs av det hemliga kollektivet Fsociety. Serien, som sträcker sig över fyra säsonger med totalt 45 avsnitt, har blivit hyllad för sin skildring av digitala samhällsfrågor. Skapad av Sam Esmail, och med stjärnor som Christian Slater som Mr. Robot och Carly Chaikin som Darlene Alderson, har 'Mr. Robot' cementerat sin plats i tv-historien. Trots att serien avslutades och inte kommer att få fler avsnitt, fortsätter dess inflytande att kännas inom popkulturen och cyberthrillergenren.
